Eastmont's Foster & Adoption Support Team (FAST) ministry has recently launched "The Neighborhood". The Neighborhood is an initiative of Every Child Oregon, connecting caring community volunteers with foster families in need of support. Volunteer teams come alongside foster families to offer both tangible and intangible care, through meals, random acts of kindness, and encouragement. This is a six month commitment (January-June), and would require just one "act of kindness" per month. Click below to contact
Jeannie Mikalson to receive the next steps!
“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked,
to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.” Isaiah 58:6-8
Through Christ’s love we are compelled to help protect vulnerable kids, through care to the foster and adoptive families, developing relationships of support and love for the glory of God.

I WANT TO BE A PART OF THE SUPPORT TEAM
Join a team inspired to “serve the least of these” using your unique interests, resources, gifts and talents. There are a variety of easy and practical ways to respond to the needs of Eastmont individuals and families caring for vulnerable kids.
Get Connected: Text the word "FAST" to 541.500.0203 to receive text alerts when an Eastmont foster or adoptive family has a need such as meals, clothing, childcare items (high chair, car seats, strollers, etc), carpooling or childcare or let us know by emailing us at email@example.com.
I WANT TO SERVE AS A FOSTER PARENT'S NIGHT OUT VOLUNTEER
Being a foster care family is hard work. "Foster Parent's Night Out" provide a much needed break for foster care parents in our community. Join us for an evening once a month (September - May) when we share a meal and lead activities for foster kids from our community. Please note, we require all volunteers to pass a background check and attend one training session.
I WANT TO SUPPORT FINANCIALLY
Thank you for your interest in wanting to make an impact in our community by supporting vulnerable children and the families who care for them. Every donation counts toward making a family feel supported and loved.
You can give online at eastmontchurch.com/give using our secure giving platform and select "FAST" or drop a check in the offering on Sunday mornings and write "FAST" on the memo line.
Adoption Fund Gifts
You can give towards our Eastmont Adoption Fund (learn more at lifesong.org) on our website or on Sundays, just write “Adoption Fund” on your check. This fund goes to support approved families from Eastmont Church.
We provide gift cards to families who attend Foster Parent's Night Out and distribute to foster and adoptive families throughout the year on an as needed basis. We suggest increments of $25/$50/$100 to local restaurants (i.e. Olive Garden, Applebee’s, Mod Pizza, etc.), grocery stores (i.e. Safeway, Albertsons, Costco, etc.) and department stores (i.e. Target, Fred Meyer, Walmart, etc.).
