Eastmont Youth Ministry

Mission Statement:
EYM seeks to encourage students, no matter who they are, to a deeper, authentic and contagious relationship with God by sharing our lives, the Living Word, and the Living God.

5 Purposes of EYM

Worship:
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1


Fellowship:
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25



Discipleship:
“Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” John 8:31-32




Outreach:
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:18-19


Service:
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.” Romans 12:6-8

Goals of EYM:

• Authentically spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• Provide a safe place for youth to be themselves
• Provide opportunities where youth will encounter God
• Lovingly help transform youth into the image of Christ
• Change lives through meaningful relationships
• Provide solid biblical teaching
• Partner with Parents and Eastmont Church
• Inspire youth to get excited about God so they share the gospel
• Foster youth to be spiritual leaders and use their spiritual gifts
• Provide the basis for a lifetime commitment to God
