Parental Involvement
Eastmont Community School is teacher-directed and recognizes the importance of an involved family in each child’s education. The school encourages volunteer hours of each family.
Parental involvement is a powerful influence on a child’s education. Research shows that when parents are involved:
- Students achieve more
- Students have higher grades and test scores, better attendance, and complete homework more consistently
- Students exhibit positive attitudes and behavior
- Students have higher graduation rates and greater enrollment rates in post-secondary education.
Eastmont Community School encourages parental involvement for these additional reasons:
