I am a graduate of Concordia University in Seward, NE. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a major in Literature. After college, I taught for 17 years before taking 5 years off to be at home with my children. This is my first year back & my first year in Kindergarten. I can not wait to see the wonderful plans God has for my class this year (and for me as well). I have an incredible husband and we love to camp, fish, and spend time with our two children. I also love to garden, take photographs, and do graphic design work.
I decided I wanted to be a teacher in first grade. I had a fabulous teacher (who is still teaching by the way) She made learning fun and I knew she loved Jesus & me. That made all the difference in the world. At the start of every school year I think about my first grade teacher and remind myself how important she was in the course of my life and how much I loved being in her class and going to school. I want to be able to give my students that same feeling.
I believe every student is a blessing and that God has a purpose & calling for each of their lives. It is an absolute joy to watch the Holy Spirit work in my students hearts and to see their faith lives blossom. I am looking forward to seeing my students grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically. (and taking some photos of them along the way).
What a marvelous and gifted group of teachers God has Called here to serve Him. If I had one million words - I could not express how incredibly fortunate I feel to serve my Lord with the amazing staff here at Eastmont. Jeremiah 29:11
